THE AWARDS

USGBC Maryland's Wintergreen Leader Awards celebrate excellence in high-performance, healthy design and building, environmental stewardship, and community impact, and serve to highlight the green building initiatives of USGBC Maryland community projects, businesses and local members. They recognize building owners and project teams for their extra effort to accomplish LEED certification for their buildings,  and honor the people who are working to create better buildings and better lives for all in the state of Maryland.

NEW FOR 2021! 

The application period for our 2021 Community Leader Awards is currently open. Awards will be given in multiple categories. Several new categories have been added this year, including an award for Innovative Project - Health & Wellness in the Built Environment, Climate Champion, and the Rise to the Challenge Award. We have also expanded the qualification timeline. In order to qualify in most categories, projects must have been LEED-certified between November 1, 2018, and November 10, 2020. Projects must be located within the USGBC Maryland community territory.

APPLICATION DEADLINE EXTENDED TO

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 11:59 PM ET.

Winners will be announced and honored in early 2021. Please check back for details.
